Subject: [ferrethealth] Pingford's Porridge ferret food
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has heard of this ferret food. It's
supposed to be made with "human grade" foods such as chicken, turkey,
beef, liver, beef fat and whole cooked eggs.

Guaranteed analysis: crude fat min 42%, crude protein min 40%, crude
fiber max 2%, moisture max 3%.

I'm a little confused by their web site link, which is
www.pinfordsporridge.com ... because the name on their banner says
PinGford's Porridge. Typo, I would assume.

Anyone have an opinion on these ingredients? And what of taurine? I
can't tell if this food is for sick ferrets, or as a whole diet.
Since it appears to be a wet food, I don't see how it can be left
safely out for ferrets to 'free feed' on.

Thanks.
