THIS NEEDS EMERGENCY MEDICAL ATTENTION!!! PLEASE DO NOT WAIT! ASK ABOUT CARE CREDIT!!! It is a credit card that many vets and human doctors take! If you pay the credit card up within a year, they waive the interest or did anyway! I stepped on one of my boys a few years back and come to find out, I ruptured his spleen and he was bleeding internally but did not know this. He seemed okay and then laid down and I knew something was definately wrong. I had rushed him to a emergency animal clinic where Cooper J was going into shock. They could not even get a catheter in him because everything kept collapsing. They ended up putting the catheter into his hip and did surgery to remove the blood from his stomach. They kept his blood and filtered it and gave him a blood transfusion of his own blood after repairing the spleen. It was touch and go in emergency 24 hour care at the vets but after 2-3 days, he started coming around! They had to put a plastic cup (cut down with cloth straps that would criss cross around his chest and tie on top of his back) around his neck to keep him from ripping out his stitches and catheter. He made it and lived 2 more years till the age of 8. I thank God that the vet who did not do ferrets but worked on kittens, took on the task of saving Cooper J even though he bit the tech when he first got there.
