Subject: [ferrethealth] Our fuzzy w medical needs needs a new home

I hate having to send this email out, but I have to do what is best
for our little girl Sadie. Sadie was diagnosed with Insulinoma last
year. She's been doing very well on the medications and is as active
as ever. Unfortunately we've had a lot of changes here at home. The
biggest being a job change, and a lot less money. The other being our
schedules, which means little time for Sadie.

We've had a family meeting, and came to the tearful conclusion that we
need to find a better home for her. We can no longer provide the
medical care or attention she needs. It's not fair to her for us to
keep her, even though we hate to let her go.

I can't give her to just anyone. I want to be sure she'll be well
taken care of. Can anyone give me any suggestions as to how to find
her a good home? I don't know of any ferret sanctuaries in this area.
We live in Marion, which is in Southern Illinois.

Any help and or advice in this situation would be greatly appreciated.
She deserves better than we can give her now, and I can't stand to see
her just sitting in her cage all the time because we aren't home
enough to spend time with her. The thought of her needing medical care
we can no longer provide is heartbreaking.

Thanks for listening.
