Something important that forgot to mention:
In the NYC region (and maybe elsewhere?) there
is a nasty influenza going around. A friend of
ours wound up hospitalized for it, and I had to
impose on my fellow moderators to take over
my share of the FHL work for a while when I was
home in bed with it.
FERRETS GET INFLUENZA. They don't get colds
-- which are caused by rhinoviruses -- but
they DO catch influenza and also sinus infections
with humans.
So, if that influenza is in your area it is also a
possibility.
Sorry for failing to mention something so important.
Mea culpa (my fault).
Oh, and the one that is going around is NOT on the
vaccine.
