I agree with Tressie. You should see how my kids chase and attack me when
they're all excited and feeling playful. ;p I had a little once who I
believe was abused before I got her, and she would bite out of fear. Trust
me, there is a HUGE difference between that playful ankle nipping and
biting, and there would be no doubt in your mom's mind if Izzy meant her
harm. I cannot stress this enough. It took a couple of years of patience
and tons of TLC, but my little Peanut (now at the bridge) would chase and
play and nip my ankles when playing and happy. Those playful nips at the
ankles were NOTHING like when I first got her and she would bite out of
fear.

Sounds to me like Izzy just loves to romp and play with your mom. That's
just my lousy two cents anyway. :)
