You may want to talk to your vet about trying Amoxi drops to help with
the diarrhea. My 8 1/2 year old Sarah has had chronic diarrhea issues
for several years. Pred alone did not help, nor did change in diet,
but we treated her with Amoxi for another condition and the diarrhea
cleared up as well. Each time I tried to stop the Amoxi, the diarrhea
came back, so we just keep her on it, 0.33 ml 2X daily. Also, I would
hesitate to stop pred in favor of diazoxide. I don't have any ferrets
with insulinoma right now, but those I have used it on in the past did
not seem to benefit from it. I hope this helps some; best wishes with
