Darlene,

I live on the other coast of Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia and
according to my veterinarian (THE ferret expert in this region) there
has never been a reported case of ADV EVER in Atlantic Canada. We do
have mink that are indegenous to our area, but none have ever been
reported by Lands & Forests to have had ADV. Not to say you don't have
it on your coast. I would contact your equivalent to Lands & Forests
as well as the most knowledgeable ferret vet in your area and ask.

Has it been recommended to you to have your little tested because she's
showing symptoms or as a precaution?

Tressie
