Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Has anyone used kaminox, or potassium supplements for people, in a ferret?

We find that most of ours prefer regular bananas to banana baby food.
The only times (I think 2 when their heart diseases were very
advanced) we have had that banana not be enough the vet had us add
TINY pinches of Nusalt (a NON-sodium salt which can be bought at the
grocery store) to meals of baby food or a/d. It worked great.
The heart diseases we have had in ferrets in our decades with them in
the family include several with dilated cardiomyopthy (one of them
also with a heart tumor), one with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and
one with complete A/V Heart Node Block.
