Sheryl,
Since you are an old hand at caring for ferrets, Not much to add other than try the pumpkin (not the prepared pie filling, too much sugar) to clear up the runny poops.
As to food, we use TF active and TF turkey, venison, lamb, mixed with Wal-Mart kitten food and/or Zupreem. Our food bowls are empty or nearly empty in a 24 hour period. Ours are free roam and have access to additional food so no one goes hungry. We see an occasional runny poop but that is attributed to one of our seventeen finding a stash of ferret treats or eating too many N-Bones that they had taken away from some of the other ferrets.
Hope someone else can offer you a solution to the diarrhea.
