I would take this one step further. Normally, I leave my ferret for
the day and my vet draws blood several times to check the BG. Fasting
or eating....it doesn't really matter, in fact I recommend leaving
access to food. If it's low, it will show up. It's rare that eating
will bring it up into a comfortable, normal range over a period of
time. I "think" Dr. Williams has addressed this in the past.
