I am not a vet. How hot was it? Ferrets don't do well above 80 or 85
degrees. If you have no other way to cool them down you can take a 2
liter cola bottle, fill it with water and freeze it. Slip it into a tube
sock and put that in the cage. My little girl used to snuggle right up
to that and lay her chin on it.
