Hi Dr. Ruth
Is there a safe dose or can the 4.25 mg/kg q 8-12h dose build up to toxic
levels? Are there symptoms that would indicate theophylline building up to
toxic levels, i.e. loss of appetite, vomiting or such? I've got a ferret
with chronic lung disease and theophylline has worked wonders for him and so
far I can't see any negative or side effects. But I want to be aware of
possible problems that could arise.
