Subject: [ferrethealth] Grainy Diarrhea
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My ferret, Clyde, is around 13 weeks old (est. birthday is around
March 8th). We had him on Marshall feed and are in the process of
switching him onto Totally Ferret now.

A couple of days ago I was cleaning up some poop off the floor. It
was mostly dry so it was already turning black, but there was a
patch of it that was a dark green color and very mucousy.

I have been noticing that off and on for a couple of days now,
though it's not obviously mucously. I don't see it unless I examine
the poop closely.

Tonight when I got home his poop was extremely watery and very very
grainy. A lot of my books and articles say that Seedy poop means
they are not digesting well...but I am not sure if Seedy meant
grainy.

He has a vet appointment on Wednesday for his Distemper vaccine, but
should I move it up? Is this something to be extremely worried about
or is it fairly normal? I am new to owning Ferrets.

Thanks in Advance,

Ashley, Dale, and Clyde
