We've had ferrets with dilated cardiomyopathy (3, one with ventricular bige=
mini),
hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (1), complete A/V Heart Node Block (1), and eve=
n a heart tumor
(one of the ones with dilated cardiomyopathy) in our decades with ferrets. =
All were allowed
to have those foods. In fact, the one with the heart tumor and dilated card=
iomyopathy needed
very liquid foods because her esophagus was impinged by the shape and size =
of her heart.=20
So, not only do I *not* know of any reason to avoid those foods but they we=
re very useful for
quality and quantity of life when used with the full range of medications a=
nd repeated testing
as needed.
