Thanks Sukie, the question was asked on another list by someone who had been told that one or the other caused fluid around the heart which would not be a good thing with cardio. I have used the babyfood but not the A/D. Is it ok if I pass this on to the other list? Again, thank you.

We've had ferrets with dilated cardiomyopathy (3, one with ventricular
bigemini),
hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (1), complete A/V Heart Node Block (1), and even a
heart tumor
(one of the ones with dilated cardiomyopathy) in our decades with ferrets. All
were allowed
to have those foods. In fact, the one with the heart tumor and dilated
cardiomyopathy needed
very liquid foods because her esophagus was impinged by the shape and size of
her heart.
So, not only do I *not* know of any reason to avoid those foods but they were
very useful for
quality and quantity of life when used with the full range of medications and
repeated testing
as needed.
