First of all let me say that it sounds like you are taking excellent
care of your baby with all of the medical attention he has recieved.

I would really look into finding a ferret knowledgeable vet in your
area. If you have to post on the FML in order to do so.

My first thought would be to have the vet see if she could do a
needle biopsy and send out the slide for pathology to rule out any
malignancy. Was she not able to get anything in the needle? Some
times they have pockets and a couple different areas would have to be
tested.

Personally I HATE lumps. I have never had a good outcome come from
any lumps that my kids have had although I have heard of several
ferrets having reactions at injection sites. I hope this is the case
for Legolas.
