Subject: [ferrethealth] chordomas
I have a two=A0 year old male ferret that is starting to develop a lump at =
the end of his tail. He eats well and plays like a fool and is not loosong =
any hair at the end of his tail. The lump does not seem to bother him yet. =
I am suspecting a chordoma. Can anyone give me an account of any experience=
s they might have had with this issue. My concern is we will be leaving on =
vacation soon and he and his cage mate will be staying with ferret knowledg=
eable friends that also have ferrets. Our ferrets have had many play dates =
together. I am concerned about time involved before we leave and what the c=
ommon practice is is dealing with these. I have made an appointment with a =
ferret knowledgeable vet to see him Thursday but need some advise to ease t=
he worry before that.
