Subject: [ferrethealth] tail chordomas
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I have had 3 ferrets have chordomas removed. - the 1st 2 were fine after su=
rgery. There were under 2 years old when they had the procedure. The third =
was also under 2yo at 18 months old... he was very happy and healthy prior =
to surgery, other than his huge growth, and he would play and tumble with t=
he other ferrets.
=A0
When he was returned to us he was sluggish and afraid of the other ferrets.=
We mentioned that he seemed brain damaged to the vet staff and received a =
disinteretsed hmmm...
=A0
I would never wait to have one removed... I can't help but wonder if someth=
ing about the size of the 3rd growth may have had something to do with Stew=
art's brain damage... length of time under... something...
