It's ear wax, nothing wrong, you just need to clean her ears. People
have a variety of ways to clean, with with special ferret ear cleaners
or mineral oil (I know there was a discussion about it here or
elsewhere, my vet said it's ok to use), cotton swabs or cotton balls. I
occasionally have luck with a damp cotton ball and just wiping.
Scruffing is involved. Have your vet or vet tech show you how to do it,
because if you go into the canal you can cause damage. Or, if you have
one nearby, contact a ferret shelter or club and ask if someone can
show you how to to it. Bath time is s good time to do it, also checking
her ears when you clip her claws is a good time. Remember, don't over
do the baths, they really don't need frequent bathing if their bedding
is changed regularly.
