Another perspective - my vet told me that the recent thinking is that
ferrets' ears should not be cleaned because it creates more problems
than it solves. The ears get irritated and then infection is more
likely to set in.
However, if there is obvious gunk I do clean. Of course best to have
the ears checked by a vet to make certain there isn't a mite problem,
which cleaning will not help. Lots of good info in the archives on
mites and medications for those nasty little critters.
