Subject: [ferrethealth] Re:Adrenal disease
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Dr Williams, Thank you for your reply and offer to do the pathology on the
lump. I have forwarded your response onto my vet. My biggest concern is
if Guille will be able to continue to use Lurpon to treat his adrenal disease
in the furture, as he already had his left gland removed, and has only his
right gland left.

I would like to continue to use Lupron to treat him. I am using 2mg Depot
every 6mo. ( to reduce cost) unless symptoms call for a dose every 4mo.

Due to his strange reaction to his 1st dose of Lurpon, my vet is specifically
concerned about whether or not it is safe to use w/him again. You may have
answered this already, and if you did I apologize for not understanding
completely.

My vet has requested advice on the opino of Dr Williams and other vets and knowledgeable FHL members as to if continueing to use Lurpon for Guille is
ok? Guille will be starting Clavamox as soon as it arrives (it was mailed as
my vet is far)..and his lumps have oddly already reduced almost 1/2 in size
since my last post (w/o any antibiotics). His CBC has also returned
completely back to normal this weekend (WBC/Nuetraphils normal again).

So the big question: Can he continue to use Lurpon?

Thank you all for your comments and advice.

Sincerely,

Judy
