Subject: [ferrethealth] Diarrhea...again
The five year old ferret I've been fostering for a couple of months
has projectile diarrhea again.
He was on Metronidazole and Carafate when he first started having
diarrhea. I was finally able to get him to eat the TF Turkey,
Venison, Lamb formula and it seemed as though it had started
clearing up.
Then yesterday the diarrhea really started up again. It was milky
and frothy but this morning it is tan.
I've started him on some Uncle Jim's duck soup with some pumpkin and
some acidophillius this morning but if it's like how it was last
time I don't really expect to see much results.
He has had a stool sample submitted to the vet which came back as
normal.
He is also insulinomic and has adrenal disease.
Is there anyone who has any ideas? I'm about to go mad!
Oh and None of my other ferrets has diarrhea.
