Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Alternative Health care (herbs, essiac, etc)
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My vet studies a lot of the homeopathic remedies for animals. He does
treatments on cats and dogs with great success, but we are to looking into
different alternatives for ferrets. I personal prefer herbal for myself vs
medication. I have seen how deadly (over time) medications can be on our
human bodies.

I would too, like to know if there are any vets that have tried different
approaches for ferrets. We used this variety of meds on a ferret that came
to me that was very malnutrition. It did help improve his energy and
appetite. Of course these are not cures for our babies but just maybe they
can help build their immune system, lesson the destruction these disease
cause on them.
I dont know the mg strength he used, I do know it was a very small amount of
each.
here is the ingredients, hepar, coenzyme, echinacea, sabal.
He is certified in this area, and as also had great success with it helping
birds as well. This is basically called a homotoxicology remedy. This same
type of remedy on Piggy, he had kidney failure and helped him. After the
injection, that evening I notice he had funky poos and was sluggish, the
next day he was like a whole new ferret, bright eyed and ready to chow on
soup.

I and my vet would really like to have other's input, especially the vets on
here.
