Hi Andrea,

This suggestion has been posted by others on the FHL before but will
mention it again - adding PURE pumpkin (NOT the pie filling) to his
diet will help with firming up the stool. It would have to be added
to a supplemental liquid duck soup mix of some kind given at least
once a day. A plop of pumpkin on his kibbles wouldn't go very far..

I have a 4 year-old sprite who has had a similar pattern since last
fall. Round of antibiotics -improvement - reversal - repeat. Blood
work, number of stools samples analyzed, ultra-sound, aspirite
biopsy, etc. Still don't know exactly what's going on. She also has a
chronically swollen large mesenteric lymph node [7 cm. (not a typo)
which was biopsied].

Adding pumpkin to her diet (one heaping tsp. per day) has stopped her
loose stools. Of course it isn't dealing with the underlying cause
(i.e., hyperplastic lymph node)but it is allowing her to maintain her
weight and keep her energy up.
