It's over 2 days of feeding him the mixture and I really haven't seen
much improvement. This morning his stool was greyish and slimy.
I thought it was probably IBD which is why I changed his diet to the
TF turkey formula. I was giving him some Vivify until I noticed that
among the ingredients it lists poultry fat
I've also been trying to find some information about liver disease
because it is my understanding that it's usually either IBD or liver
disease that causes diarrhea in older ferrets. Does anyone have any
information on liver disease? I've tried looking in the archives but
haven't turned up anything as of yet.
From what I've been reading it sounds like Coccidia mainly affects
younger ferrets and not the geriatric. Plus, he definitely does not
live in unsanitary conditions.
