I have two ferrets, Bonnie and Clyde.
I have had Clyde for a little while now, he is a little over 4 months old.=

I am debating about get him vaccinated. He doesn't leave the house, and he'=
s not really around any animals other than the other ferret, Bonnie. I'm ju=
st not sure that it's worth the risk of him having a bad reaction to the va=
ccine. My mom used to have skunks and her friend, who also had skunks, had =
a skunk die from getting her Distemper vaccine. She stopped getting her sku=
nks vaccinated and never had a problem with it.
And I know that we should have the rabies done in case they bite someone bu=
t again, we don't take them out of the house. They are only around me, my b=
oyfriend, and our family. If we do take them in public anywhere, we keep pe=
ople from touching thier face so they can't bite. And we don't even take th=
em out that often.
Is there any reason why they absolutely should be vaccinated? Has anyone el=
se decided not to vaccinate thier ferrets?
Ashley, Dale, Bonnie, and Clyde
