Subject: [ferrethealth] roaches

Someone posted awhile back about treating for roaches. There are
several natural alternatives to chemical sprays. A spray bottle of
soapy water works well, a mixture of baking soda and powdered sugar
placed in strategic places (w/wo cocoa), vacuuming all cracks and
crevices frequently and tape over hole on vacuum bag and put in trash,
spraying around windows, doors, pipes with bleach water - inside and
out weekly.

There are gels that can be put in areas the ferrets can't get to like
up in the over counter cupboards and ceiling edges.

Contac roach bait traps work but need to be put in areas ferrets can't
possibly get to. Some chemical powders can be put directly into the
walls.

Not sure if the pest repellers work but most I've seen have a limited
time guarantee so might be worth a try.
