Subject: [ferrethealth] Licking my feet - vitamin deficiency?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I spend waaay too much time at home in front of my computer in bare
feet and have had ferrets for the last seven years or so, some of
which have occasionally licked or bitten my feet. I consider it
normal behavior, but notice that my Marilyn (2.5 years old?) is now
licking my feet excessivly.

Could this mean that she is lacking something in her diet and/or could
be beginning some kind of health problem? I offer this next part as
background as well as a separate question: This ferret far prefers
cat kibble to ferret food - has been eating Purina Cat Chow Complete
for a year and a half. Is this inadequate for a 2.5 yr old ferret
(she does eat a lot of broccoli and peaches as well as ferretvite),
and could it cause this sudden craving to lick my feet?
