If the two kits have been separated that could also lead to them getting somewhat depressed and not eating. Maybe you should try putting them back together and see if that helps. But the sick one definitely should be brought to a ferret-knowledgeable vet right away, and the other one should get a check up as well. Something minor could turn into something major if not treated, and he might just need a simple round of antibiotics to clear up whatever is going on.
