Hi Ella,

I recently took in a foster ferret that is a chewer of all fuzzy
bedding - same issue you are having. I would strongly suggest you take
the bedding out of the cage as soon as possible to eliminate the
possibility of the ferret eating anymore. You can put cotton materials
such as pillowcases etc in the cage. I had special bedding made for
their cage made out of a durable heavy cotton (you can contact me
offline for where I had it made - I don't think I am allowed to post it
here?). It is great and Drooper no longer chews.

As far as ferret lax - I was giving mine as much as he would eat four
times a day and now he gets it daily for preventative purposes (he
still gets into something every once in a while). The main concern is
blockages. If you notice the poops becoming smaller or the ferret
struggling to poop get to the vet ASAP. Good Luck.
