We currently have a ferret who once again has begun digging through
those tubes so are removing them. No one eating them, thank goodness.
There is a list member with whom I have spoken off-list who had a
ferret eat portions of the types of gloves that beauticians use and
that plastic turned into hard scrolls when exposed to digestive conditions
and created a very serious emergency. I don't know if this plastic
type would do the same thing, but this is reminder that the form
and texture of materials can change after ingestion.
