Please us caution when signing up for pet insurance especially for
ferrets. About 6 yrs ago I paid [Name removed but it if the same
one mentioned by the original poster] pet insurance the yearly fee of
$152.00 for one of my ferrets who was 4yrs old at the time..just
getting ready for their golden years...well.. he had to have his left
adrenal out after many tests were done to diagnose this. He had his
blood work, his surgery and finally I was given a bill.. I paid the
bill and submitted it to [insurance company]..after not hearing from
them for 4 weeks I contacted them..They were still reviewing it...conclusion
...a prexisting condition!!! What!!! They notified my vet and found that
my ferret had had his right adrenal removed the year before.. they
figured he had his right out so naturally he was going to have to have
the other one removed..they refused to pay!!! I fought it for 6
months..LOST!!! Best thing to do is put that monthly amount you would
of paid them into a little savings for your fuzzy and you will be sure
the surgery will be paid for!!!
Good luck!!! Oh, I never got a refund when I cancelled...
