To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi AMy,

I would strongly encourage you NOT to administer Baytril to a nursing
jill. Anything stronger than clavamox will pose a threat to the kits. The
antibiotics are passed through the milk into the growing kits and it can /
will cause dental and bone issues,l not to mention compromise of the immune
system development.

try administering some oral melatonin to help control the hormones... but
be cautious as that could also effect milk production. I would have the
lump excised as soon as nursing is complete! You may be witnessing mammary
cancer.

Best wishes

alicia
