Subject: [ferrethealth] urethra blockage
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

hi all
im having nothing but bad luck with my littel one's at the moment.
About a 6 weeks back bandit was rushed into vets due to not being able
to go to the toilet and in lots of pain
when they looked him other they noticed he had a build up in his
bladder, they drained him out to make him more comfortable and then
looked into the problem, it turned out he had a blockage in his
urethra. they sorted the problem and up till now all has been well.
but sadly tonight he's blocked up again, he's booked in to the vets
first thing in the morning. if he starts showing signs of stress and
pain he will be in sooner
but i was wondering if there is anything else that could be done to
help stop this from happening again or if anyone has an idea what
could be causing this
he's on chuddles ferret, rabbit, pigeon, day old chicks
hes 7 years old and up till now hes been healthy.if you meet him you
would not beleave his age
if anyone could offer us some advise i would be very grateful

yours leah and bandit
