I am not a vet. My ferret died of this, I didn't catch it in time. He
had the same symptoms, and greenish discharge (but not often, and we
didn't know what is was - until after he passed away. We found two
spots on the carpet).
I have heard of vets opening up a ferret and "draining" an infected
prostate. This was from a [university] veterinarian. Also antibiotics,
obviously, to try to slow down the infection.
What lupron dose were you giving? Monthly or the 4 to 6 month dose? If
I were you I would give him a melatonin implant. It can't hurt him.
