Gina,

You mentione4d its been a couple weeks since you saw the painted eye
in her deposit. Unfortunately just because she hasn't had a problem
now doesn't mean she cannot later.

The problem could be that a piece of the rubber could lay flat against
a fold of her intestine while other digest flows over it, then one day
it dislodges and maybe tumbles to a bend in her intestine and lodges
there, now you've got a life threatening problem. A friend on another
forum just lost her ferret to just such a problem.

Feeding pumpkin could very well push the stuff out, or it could very
well push the stuff into a blockage position. A trip to the vet's is
about the only way you will know for sure if she has ingested any of
these pieces.

For hiding spots tip over all your chairs and the sofa and check the
fabric lining the bases. Any loose areas can be an entry into the
interior of the upholstered furniture.

Get on your belly on the floor and look UP under the toe kick boards
of your cupboards. Many modern cupboards aren't finished in this area
and the ferret can climb up inside the cupboard and have all sorts of
places to stash the ducks, she might even be able to get into the
drawers from this access point! Check inside any pots and pans in the
cupboards. If you have floor speakers check inside these.

Check in all folds of linens and piles of clothes. Check inside any
shoes or boots. Under any bathroom cabinets. Inside any storage bins
or boxes she could lift up a lid or flap. I've got several storage
bins in the house and have to keep the lids either weighted down or
duct taped shut!

I sure hope you find the ducks! It just doesn't seem likely that she'd
have been able to eat ALL those ducks and not have had some noticeable
problems or a LOT of noticeable pieces in her deposits.

Cheers,
Kim
