Well, that's my problem. I really would rather do raw diet but I just
can't do it. Someone gave me some frozen baby chicks and I could not
stop gagging when I took them out of the bag. I am not normally a
squimish person but something about the chicks got to me. I have no
problem with chunks of raw meat but I have 15 rescues and I have no
place to let them eat raw meat without hygene concerns. I was hoping
to do the next best thing and give them chicken gravy and a better
quality kibble, like Evo. So I wouldn't be elimating carbs just
reducing them. I do not put kibble in my gravy.

I didn't mean to imply in my first post that I would stop kibble all
together. Kibble would always be available but I have noticed that
my gravy ferrets tend not to eat as much kibble.

INSTEAD of to the list. There are several reasons for this request:
1. it can lead to fights about food types and all sorts of claims pro
and con -- and honestly most extreme claims are typically false
2. it tends to devolve to "me, too" opinion posts
3. it tends to take over the list making it hard for member vets to
spot the posts from people who strongly need prompt vet help
among the many food opinion and preference posts. -- Mod.]
