All of the diet supplements like Ferretvite and Nutical have sugar in
them. They are better used for a sick ferret that is not eating well
than a treat for a healthy one.
I believe Ferritone has no sugar and it much better to use for
training and cutting nails. You may need to squirt some in side of
her mouth or rub it on her gums. Ferrets love it!
You can also try this hairball formula as a treat alternative:
Fill an empty and washed large Gerber Baby jar 2/3 fill of Vaseline.
Heat it in the microwave a few seconds until it's more liquidy and
then stir in 2 Tbs of ferretone. Put the lid back on and let it cool.
Ferrets and cats love it and it has no sugar.
