The following is specific to dogs but general points apply to
breeding of any animal.
I have just watched a 1 hr BBC program on the genetic problems of
pedigree dogs. This will be available on the BBC Iplayer for seven
days.

It is quite frankly a perfect illustration of why ferret breeders
should be very careful when breeding with a particular outcome in
mind. Also well worth watching for any ferret owner.
