Subject: [ferrethealth] EGE ferret nutrition

I have a ferret, Arte, who is a biopsy comfirmed EGE case that will
only eat raw chunked cornish game hen. He vomits any kibble, soupie
(in over 20 forms now), canned food, other raw meat he refuses, and
offal meat too. He takes ferretone willingly, and will not touch
ferretvite. He chose this diet-it is literally the only thing he will
eat. The crux here is he only drinks the juices of the game hen and
reacts poorly (vomiting, anorexia)if any supplements are added that he
can taste. He is on a good medication routine but I am worried
because he has been on this diet for 6 months and I worry about his
nutrition. I am wondering if I could do a oral dose by syringe of
vitasol and what the dosage would be (don't want vit A poisoning)? I
also wonder if there are any good supplements that can help out here
nutritionally that are available in liquid form or in a small dose of
powder? If so what is the dosing?
