Thanks for the response Jeff.

He is actually on Carafate 2-3x daily, with injectable Dexamethasone
to edge up his appetite and deal with inflamation. He also gets
pain meds twice a day. Pepcid AC messes with his digestion of the
bone, and raw meat. He was on that and has done better without. We
had to stop Imuran (it wasn't helping anyway) because Arte developed
a nonregenerative anemia.



He is a tough nut because his GI just will not be soothed, his stool
is nearly normal and solid without meds, but he grinds continuously,
and hard without his little regimine of meds. His barium study
looked like he had a blockage in his pyloris, but upon exploratory
it was just a ton of pinpoint ulcers. Hence the biopsy. Though his
blood work, rads, and biopsies cannot confirm it I believe he has GI
lymphoma brought on by the EGE (At least we have the EGE
confirmed). I suspect the Dex is covering it up. I want to give
him every chance at staying healthy for as long as possible.
