No, that's not necessarily true, it really depends on the situation.=A0 My =
ferrets on a natural diet only eat once a day.=A0 They are healthy weights,=
not skinny, not fat.=A0 They *occasionally* snack on kibble, though I do l=
eave it out for them.=A0 I can tell when they eat - I have to refill the ki=
bble bowl, and sometimes, that happens less than once a month.=A0

I don't want to start a food argument again, just pointing out that if the =
food offered has very high quality nutritional value and is easy to digest,=
the ferret can eat less of it and less often.=A0

I have one ferret that has never once eaten kibble in his five years, and h=
e eats once a day.=A0 He's fine.

A ferret that is ill or in some distress, yeah, I make sure the ferret eats=
more than once a day.

Just because transit time from mouth to litterbox is about 4 hours doesn't =
necessarily mean a healthy, active ferret should be eating every 4 hours.=
