Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: HELP! My ferrets have ece!
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Thank you drew! We have started Macy on a sub-q injections several
times a day. Also we are force feeding her gerbers baby food, duck
soup and some ground kibble with homemade chicken stock. She has eaten
a few pinkys but ususally doesn't finish a whole one :(.....Rambo on
the other hand is almost back to normal. We have thought we were going
to loose macy several times already! It's enough to make you
cry.....it was like she had given up.....but I surely wasn't ready to
give up! My husband staid up for the first night, only had 3 hours of
sleep, he force feed and forced water on them every 15-30 minutes (he
couldn't get much in at a time). When I get home from work I come
relieve him so he can run errands, sleep or just relax. I hope it
doesn't take 6 months for her to get better! Is it normal for her guts
to be sunk in though? They tend to "pop" back out when she has eaten a
little bit more though. Well thank you for all of your help!
