Vicki, just a quick note. Please, pumpkin both stems or eases loose poops by providing bulk, which absorbs liquid...hence less loose poops. Now, remember ferrets don't need bulk but....if you provide it and there is small hairball it will ease it to slide through the system.. Pumpkin does indeed provide both services. I won't argue using butter, but pumpkin has equal value. I have had equal success using it both ways. I love it....I will never be without it in my stores, no first aid kit should be without it.
