Subject: [ferrethealth] If you get invitation to join Grouply claiming to be from FHL member
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Just trash it.

Either someone is harvesting addresses from the FHL, OR
(possibly more likely) someone has an infected PC that is
snarfing addresses from mail in the mailboxes.

The origin addresses will be wrong if you expand the
headers or look at raw source to see. That is not a new
trick, though.

I've been notified by two FHL members who sent the note
without expanded headers or raw sources, and I've gotten
one myself and neither trick gave a clear answer to me,
though I haven't done that sort of tracking much through
the years and usually miss too much when i try.

There isn't really anything we can do. Throw away the
mail if you get one of those. *****Do NOT reply to it and do
NOT open any links in it to avoid the possibilities of being
victimized or of overloading another's servers.*****

All FHL members should be careful to use fire walls and other
protective software and to regularly check their computers
for infections then deal with them if they are in there, please.
