To summarise the recent posts on Suki's urine problems.

1. "If" there are both calcium oxalate and struvite crystals then I
have to both raise and lower the Ph (not feasible)

2. The urine samples have always been taken from a sterilised tray
left over night with Suki isolated from Sugar. As these samples could
have been "donated" from 5 to 14 hrs before I even get to the vets
office (and the lab says "scanty" for the oxalate crystals and
"occasional" for struvite) then Dr Sue's pondering on the validity of
the results is on the mark.

3. What is the significance, if any, of fecal contamination given
that both enterococcus and streptococcus have been found seperately
on different tests, the later even after the second course of
antibiotics and no bacteria was found in the feces (only tested once).

4. As the ph has always been 5.5 or 6.0 (dip stick and lab, lab
always 6.0), do I need to do anything about Ph?.

5. Do we need to do another urinalysis on urine obtained by
cystocentesis.

They are both off to the vets on Wednesday, Suki to try to resolve
what to do next, Sugar swollen vulva over past few days and me even
being an optomist already suspect the worst.
