Thanks for your replies Tressie, Sukie, Jevanci1 and Ulrike.
Being in Mexico City, we don't have the Tennessee panel available =(
I don't know what does he check for in the blood test to diagnose
adrenal disease, I got a copy of the blood test results but he forgot
to include that page. I am going to ask for it.
Today Matilda doesn't wobble anymore, she's all happy and bouncy. The
vet said to postpone the visit until Tuesday, when my boys have their
Lupron shot scheduled. I have to bring in Matilda too and she should
not have anything to eat 6 hours prior the visit (so she's getting
more blood tests, my poor tiny baby). In the meantime he suggested to
supplement her food intake with duck soup.
I am worried about the Teflon, because yes, it's said to cause cancer
in humans and supposedly Dupont will be forced to stop making it. I
will ask him to check her lungs.
On Matilda's tests a month ago her blood glucose was 110 mg/dl and
the normal range is listed as 95-125 mg/dl.
The vet I take my kiddos to is the most ferret knowledgeable vet I
have been able to find in Mexico. He gives classes at the vet faculty
of the UNAM (Mexico's national university), and he attends mainly
ferrets. I'm pretty sure he understands the difference with Cushing's
disease in dogs, but yeah I don't know why he prescribed the
levothyroxine sodium. I'll bring that up.
Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
