Subject: [ferrethealth] exercise reducing malignancy rates
To: fhl <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>
This is actually a human study (a very large one), but there have been
a number of ferret people through the years who have mentioned
improved health and what appear to be lower rates of common problems
among their ferrets when/if they were able to provide a lot of
exercise for those ferrets. The effect in humans was so comprehensive
that it is pretty easy to suspect that there could be shared
mechanisms between ferrets and humans, and this study comes after
smaller and narrower studies on exercise appearing to lower malignancy
rates in several species.
