Is anyone familiar with a breeder that marks the left ear with a blue "x"?
My wife and I have recently adopted a ferret with such a marking and note
that she has a number of behavioural problems. Most pronounced is her
reaction to other ferrets. She screams and shrieks as if she was about to be
killed. We feel she was probably confined to a cage and forced to breed when
in heat. The good news is that she is on the road to recovery - she is
becoming more social and is greatly enjoying the "free run" lifestyle.
Regardless I would like to hear from anyone who knows of this marking and,
hopefully, may have some information about the breeder.

Thank You

Robert

[Moderator's Note: Historically, what looks like an "x" is instead
a poorly executed "H" for "Hagan". Hagan is a Canadian breeder
chain (which also goes by "Real Canadian").]
