We had a ferret with this and he had issues on and off for several
years. The problem for us was that he was not diagnosed until right
before he died. The flair ups would only last a couple of days and then
he would be fine. What ended up killing him was that the inside of his
intestines basically died, causing him to not be able to digest the
nutrients from the food. I would think that with early detection and
treatment you baby should have better success.
